Gunda [LAST SCREENING]

In Gunda, director Viktor Kosakovskiy’s (Aquarela)’s latest film, we are plunged into the immersive daily life of a sow as she tends to her litter on a farm. A universe that is both familiar and destabilizing, the film finds tremendous and poetic beauty in its minimalist black and white exploration of Gunda’s life, as well as those of the chickens and cows that share her space. Without music and dialogue, the film manages to grip the viewer by drawing them into a rich and mysterious animal world of powerful and transcendent emotions.
