Lucien is a morose and misanthropic demon who descended to Earth over 350 years ago. Finding refuge in his bookstore, his tranquility is disrupted by the arrival of Daniel, an enthusiastic human assistant. Together, they embark on an improbable mission to save their bookstore. Through his interactions with his new colleague, Lucien gradually opens up to the world and even finds an unusual ally in Daniel. Jean-François Leblanc daringly adapts the graphic novel by Samuel Cantin, and he succeeds brilliantly, delivering an adventure that breaks new ground. The offbeat, grotesque tone, wonderfully sharp and acerbic, is not lacking in tenderness. It brings a breath of fresh air to Quebec’s movie production scene!
