Deep in the Estonian forest, a group of women gather regularly to share their intimate experiences and most secret thoughts. This ritual, specific to the Võro community, is the entryway into Anna Hints’ film debut documentary feature, a world of flesh, heat and smoke. Amid the naked bodies, stories are told, sometimes harrowing, sometimes luminous, as the women in the ultimate safe space free themselves of impurities.
